Here are the Logistics…
It’s important to understand that Therapy or Counseling is an investment in your life, relationships, health, well being, and future. Some common questions:
How frequently will we meet?
Most clients come once a week. After the initial assessment, sessions are 50 minutes in length. Some couples prefer to have 75 min. sessions.
What type of therapy do you use?
Taking into consideration that each person is unique, therapy sessions are carefully tailored to meet the needs of the individual/couple/family with the approach that best suits them. Oftentimes this calls for employing evidenced based techniques such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). I use the best tools and strategies that suit each specific individual. This therapeutic relationship is collaboration between the individual/couple/family and therapist with the goal to reach complete emotional wholeness.
What type of payment do you accept?
Cash or checks are accepted at the beginning of each session. Please have checks made out to Aspire 4 Life Inc. prior to our meeting so as not to waste your session time.
Initial assessment is $150 (75 minutes) Subsequent sessions are $125. The amount is the same for individual or couples counseling.
VISA or MASTERCARD are also accepted.
Should I use my Insurance?
To ensure privacy, some people don’t use insurance since it requires a mental illness diagnosis. Insurers may seek personal details about your problems. Such info may become part of your permanent medical record and could effect future employment, disability insurance, or security clearance.
Paying for the session yourself allows for quality counseling services and offers confidentiality without intrusive managed care requirements.
If you choose to use insurance:
Most plans, such as POS, reimburse for counseling with a licensed counselor.
• Clients who see me as an Out of Network (OON) therapist generally receive 60-90% reimbursement of the fee.
• Please check with you plan to determine your coverage.
Can I use my Health Savings Account/ Flexible Spending Account?
Using an HSA is an alternative to avoiding insurance hassles and privacy concerns. HSAs can save you up to 35% and don’t require a diagnosis.
Do you have a sliding scale?
I am happy to assist people in such need and offer a few sliding scale appointments during daytime hours.
What is your cancellation policy?
Because I hold a session time for you, it is unavailable to someone else needing help, so I need a minimum of 24 hours notice if you must miss an appointment. If you are a no show to a scheduled appointment without prior (24 hr.) notice you are liable for full payment of this session.
Is therapy confidential?
I follow all guidelines and laws to protect confidentiality. See my intake forms for further clarification on your privacy.
